How to Encourage your Kids to stay motivated at home !

WAKE UP EARLY AND GET DRESSED IN YOUR GYMNASTICS ATTIRE ! 

Dr. Karen Pine, professor of psychology at the University of Hertfordshire and fashion psychologist said: “When we put on an item of clothing it is common for the wearer to adopt the characteristics associated with that garment. A lot of clothing has symbolic meaning for us, whether it’s ‘professional work attire’ or ‘relaxing weekend wear,’ so when we put it on we prime, the brain to behave in ways consistent with that meaning.”




BE ORGANISED, SET A ROUTINE AND PRIORITISE RESPONSIBILITIES

Somewhere you / your kids can see it, have up goals for the day and week. Have an organised calendar and set times when and what you will be training. You need to prioritise all of life's responsibilities - from feeding your pets maybe , to cleaning your room to online socialising to training and working on your goals. How serious are you at wanting to reach your goals ? what are your goals ? SETTING UP A DREAM BOARD can assist your childs vision of what they really want .

SET UP YOUR HOME GYM and BE SAFE . 
Make sure you keep your space clean. Clear space = a clear mind ! 
The great thing about Home gymnastics equipment is that is can be very versatile and portable to pack away. 


Being organised and sticking to a consistent routine and training program can assist you when are at home is so important. It's necessary to treat it as if you were at the gym club. Remembering the structure of your classes ! 
- whether you get a portable doorway pull up bar for strength or a roll up yoga mat to do your strength program or Some ankle weights to hold your middle splits against the wall or to assist in other Resistant flexibility stretches..  Write down your "class" or follow your teachers instructions. Always making sure you are doing things safely and what and how you have been taught

CHALLENGING YOURSELF AND YOUR PERSONAL BEST !  
Connecting with like minded people on the same page as you can be really helpful for guidance , also being able to ask questions, speak about a common interest and also to stay motivated with someone. connect with a partner who you can have challenges with !  Beating your personal best ! But NEVER COMPARE yourself to others. Everyone reaches their own goals at different times. Everyone has strengths and weaknesses in different areas. Some may have worked on their arm strength by completing alot of pushups to assist handstands whereas they may be lacking in shoulder mobility in their backbends.

Making sure you have an all round program which will assist growth in all areas of your body. Strength, Flexibility, Endurance, Balance etc.. MOST IMPORTANTLY! MAKE IT ENJOYABLE ! 


PARENTS - It is important to work with your kids (help them with a vision board, be excited for them ! Congratulate them on their effort. JOIN IN ! Make it fun, Make some memories ! 
small space ? Get an inflatable Mat (You can get them as small as 3 metres !) and deflate and roll away when you are done )
